Garden Tour – Shaun Martin’s home in Burleigh Waters

The venue for our June Open Garden Day has changed, and we have now been invited to visit Shaun Martin’s home in Burleigh Waters.
Shaun’s garden was part of the Gold Coast Edible Trail in 2025. The 600 square meter property features water-saving designs, native bees, sweet potato carpets – and the rest of this garden where 90% of the plants are food crops.
Described as “a thriving sanctuary” and “a vibrant edible oasis”, a visit to this garden will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about efficient use of space and growing a variety of food.
The date is next Saturday, the 13th, and the event starts at 2.00 pm. It would be appreciated if you could bring something to share for afternoon tea and a folding chair, if you have one.
We’ll be holding a raffle on the day – tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00.
